Dylan grew up in the small town of Wood River, Illinois. At the age of 12, Dylan asked his friend if he could join him one Wednesday night to go to this “youth group” he had heard about. The friend quickly stopped going, but Dylan continued to ask his parents for rides to the church until he was old enough to drive.
Dylan’s first instrument was the trumpet. He played the trumpet for five years. On the fifth year, he picked up a guitar and never looked back. At the age of 14, he began playing guitar in the newly founded youth group at Bethalto Church of God. A few months later, he decided that he wanted to pursue a degree in music at Lee University later in life, and he did just that. Dylan studied Church Music with a vocal emphasis at Lee University and has a passion for the unifying power and beauty of corporate worship and the educational, theologically nourishing texts found in the psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.
Every person possesses an innate purpose that glorifies God and empowers others. Dylan seeks to pinpoint the strengths in others and leave a mark on history as a man whose leadership was established in love and charisma.
