Music Ministry

Music Ministry

ELUMC has a vibrant music ministry that enhances the worship and life of the church.  Check out our ministries and see where you might get involved!

Chancel Choir

Borrowing from the Anglican tradition of church anthems, our volunteer choir ministers to our congregation every Sunday during the 11:00am service by leading them in musical worship. The Chancel Choir welcomes anyone who has a desire to join them and has any previous musical experience. Chancel Choir practice on Wednesday nights from 7:30pm to 8:30pm is not only a place to practice and have fellowship with other believers and musicians, but also a place to learn and improve your voice in a structured environment. The Chancel Choir works closely with Elizabeth Lee UMC Director of Music Ministries, Dylan Davis.

The Bells of Elizabeth Lee currently have ten ringers. They have 4 1/2 octaves of bells and 4 octaves of hand chimes. They practice on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm until 7:30pm. They are a welcome presence in Sunday services a handful of times every year. They enjoy sharing their music with the community and congregation. The handbells are always looking for new talent, this may be your perfect fit at Elizabeth Lee UMC!

Worship Band

DSCN11551The Worship Band for The Well is a committed group of folks that love music and love the Lord. They practice Thursdays from 6:30pm until 7:30pm and Sundays at 8:45am before the service. They are always looking for others to join them on guitar, vocals, keys, drums, percussion, mandolin, violin, saxophone, percussion – if you play it, there’s a place for you! There are opportunities at all levels of commitment, from playing an occasional Sunday to rocking out every week. If you can read chord based music and would love to plug into leading worship, the worship band would love to have you on Sundays.

AVL (Audio/Video/Lights)

Are you a little on the “techy” side?  Ever wonder what it takes to make a worship service happen?  Do you have the “creative” gene?  Then contact us about joining the AVL Team.  We are ALWAYS looking for people interested in helping with Audio, Video, and Lighting.  NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!  We are more than willing to train you in the technology we use.  All you need is a servant’s heart and a willingness to learn. The AVL team helps with band practice Thursdays from 6:30pm until 7:30pm as well as Sundays at 8:45am before the service. Volunteers are encouraged to serve at both The Well service and at the sanctuary services.
