Children hold a special place at Elizabeth Lee UMC.  Below are the different ministries we provide to nurture children in the Christian faith:

Families with children 0 to 3 will find a loving environment in the nurseries at Elizabeth Lee.  Our nursery staff follow guidelines for diaper changing, hand washing, and disinfecting surfaces. We have adopted Safe Sanctuary policies (copy provided to parents and available online) to ensure children are safe and nurtured.  Adults sign-in children, including cell number and instructions.  It is our joy to hold, feed, and interact with children while adults are in Sunday School or Worship.

Children’s Church

Children’s Church is a time during the 11:00am worship service where the children have their own time of fellowship and worship. During the worship service, the pastor will dismiss the children ages 4 – 3rd grade to go to their classroom with their leaders.  The children will have Bible stories, games, and crafts that are just right for their age.  After the 11:00am service, parents will pick up their children from their classroom.  It is a wonderful program for the children of our church.

Kids Club

Kids Club is our Sunday afternoon ministry for Pre-K through 2nd grade from 5:30 – 7 pm during the school year. A complimentary supper is served by church members at 5:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.  Adults in the supper group are volunteers in the classrooms after the meal.  Choir rehearsal,  Bible stories,  crafts,  and games follow supper.

Life Club – Living in Faith Everyday

kids 12

For  3rd, 4th, and 5th grades on Sundays, 5:30 – 7 pm.  A free supper that kids love is provided by adults of the church at 5:30 p.m. on Sundays.  By 6 p.m., we are in our LIFE room engaging in Bible study, and playing games to help us remember what we’ve discussed. We use our Bibles, actually enjoy art, and sometimes we shoot hoops or play hide and seek. Britta Alton is the LIFE leader, and a parent helper from the supper crew each week assists her. We meet on Sundays during the school, except for holidays or school breaks. Friends are welcome to join us!
