Small Groups

Elizabeth Lee UMC offers a wide range of different Small Group opportunities. Small Groups generally consist of a group of people getting together for fellowship, community, and to study God’s Word. Get plugged in and feel right at home in one of the various Small Groups offered at ELUMC.

What Do I Need To Know?

Home Groups are one of the fastest growing ministries at Elizabeth Lee UMC. In the Spring and Fall, Home Groups meet in leaders’ homes every other week for 5 to 6 weeks. Groups typically share dinner together and have the opportunity to develop friendships, get to know each other on a deeper level, and most importantly they get to grow together in Christ. Home Groups are normally organized by stage of life, which allows folks to get to know others who may be going through similar experiences or going through similar struggles. Currently there are Home Groups offered for Young Families, Families with youth, and Empty-nesters and Grandparents. If you are considering joining a Home Group and want to learn more, just ask around, someone you know may already be a part of one!

What Do I Need To Know?

The Prayer Group meets every Friday at 11:30am in The Well (Lillian Ellis Center). In this group, everyone has the opportunity to get to know each other, while enjoying fellowship with one another. The Prayer Group engages in a topical study and follow that with sharing prayer requests and praises, while praying for loved ones, the church, and the world.

What Do I Need To Know?

This Small Group meets every Wednesday at 7:30pm in the Youth House behind the Lillian Ellis Center. The young adult group hangs out, plays games, and has Bible study. Whether you’re starting college, just started your career, or recently married and looking for a church family, the Young Adult Small Group is the place for you.

What Do I Need To Know?

The Early Risers Prayer Group meets at 6:45AM every Monday morning before work. They get together to have great discussion, drink better coffee, and spend time in the Word together. The group always makes an extra cup of coffee for anyone who may walk through the door. So, if you’re lucky, there may be a hot cup of great tasting coffee waiting for you in the Lillian Ellis Center next Monday morning!
